Wayne Scott Fails on Healthcare

Recently, Oregonians for Health Security, a group that focuses on reducing the cost of healthcare in our state, released a report card on all 100 members of the Oregon legislature.

What was Wayne Scott's score? Just 20 percent -- a failing grade by anyones metrics. Scott, Salem's chief obstructionist, voted against allowing more Oregonians to get affordable prescription drugs; protecting the Oregon Health Plan; and disclosing the gifts that big drug companies give to promote their products, each of which would help working Oregonians deal with the cost of healthcare.

We need real leadership in Salem that is willing to stand up to the big insurance and pharmaceutical lobbies so that we can make sure that Oregonians have access to quality and affordable healthcare. With your help, we will send Mike to the legislature and send a message of change to this state.
